Improved Animation

finally decided to get back to work and finessed and re-planned some of the awkward moments, i feel this is much more fluid. More to come later
finally got a gopro, now i can make movies and take action sequences, the possibilities are endless!
Finally the teaser is released, i worked with Imaginary Forces for title sequence part of the trailer, which consists of the things that happen once you go into the eye. The maya scene involved was huge, we had to split it up into multiple parts, but over all the job turned out really well. Might be one of my favourites out of the 3 TF titles i’ve worked on. Can’t wait to see the teaser in 3d in the theaters.
real robots are cool, heres one that’s hooked up to a xbox kinect camera.
Did some rigging over the weekend, using basic advanced skeleton. Much better results than using regular T-pose. Also the new Maya 2011 skinning system is pretty interesting, tho i didn’t want to go too deep into it at this point. Still needs some more texture work, but you get the gist.
update: Did more texturing, and just learned zbrush so playing around with some normal mapping on the details
update: started applying some new shaders
finally made some progress on the other character, who is supposed to be somewhat like a ninja, I’ve decided to keep the armor to a minimal and instead just imply shes wearing some sort of suit. UVing this will probably drive me insane, at least there’s less parts than my usual
